Chevron Major Refinery Expansion
Location: Pascagoula, MS
Description: This project involved several major expansion efforts at the Chevron Pascagoula refinery. Cajun performed all of the site work, piling and civil work for the new Continuous Catalytic Reformer (CCR), the Effluent Treatment Cooling Plant (ETCP), the Effluent Treatment Solid Waste Disposal Plant (ETSDP) and the Pascagoula Based Oil Plant (PBOP). Portions of the work were completed within existing units.
Cajun developed a 50+acre site, installed over 105,000 CY of structural concrete, excavated 120,000 CY of existing soil, placed over 100,000 CY of structural fill, installed 1,750 Auger Cast-In-Place (ACIP) piles, installed 10,000 pipe piles, installed over 50,000 LF of piping and 6,400 LF of duct banks, placed 3,185 units of epoxy grout and installed 130,000 SF of area paving.
The site contained numerous underground obstructions that Cajun identified and removed. In some instances, the obstructions could not be removed, and Cajun assisted with redesign.
Cajun completed over 1,600,000 man-hours with no OSHA recordable incidents.
