On April 27, 1973, Lane Grigsby incorporated Cajun Contractors and Engineers (CC&E) to capitalize on his extensive experience in the heavy civil/industrial phases of the construction industry. CC&E began operations as an open-shop firm and focused on the industrial and private, and public markets.
Over the next fifteen years, the company experienced tremendous growth. In 1988, Cajun Contractors and Engineers, Inc. changed its name to Cajun Contractors, Inc. to reflect the true nature of its business. In 1998, celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary, Cajun Contractors, Inc. further defined its core competencies in changing its name to Cajun Constructors, Inc.
Today, Cajun Industries, LLC is a nationally respected company that has successfully completed over
$2 billion in contracts. Cajun, through its operating companies, offers a wide range of services including: construction management, planning/scheduling, deep foundations, site work, concrete foundations, structural concrete, structural steel, flood protection systems and control structures, mechanical equipment and piping, design-build, maintenance, and turnarounds.
