Project Description &Work Performed:
This project consisted of drilling & pouring 56 ea. 30” diameter to 48” diameter foundation drilled shafts with varying lengths 20’-28’ deep. Rock sockets varied from 4’ to 10’ deep. Cajun’s scope of work included:
- Drill & case soil over burden down to the rock
- Drill rock to tip elevation
- Set rebar

Challenges:
- Congested work site
- There were safety issues concerning down hole testing and drilling, so Cajun implemented a plan and designed a new method and piece of equipment for lowering employees into the test hole.
Key Accomplishments:
- No incidents or lost time injuries occurred on this project.
